Nurture.
My intention and word for the year.
2022 was a year of stretching, of expanding my capacity through big contractions and expansions, beauty and pain.
Asking me to tend to my roots (my nervous system and my sweet inner child) to cultivate a safety inside myself and a solid foundation as life stretched me to hold more, be more.
As I felt into what is calling me in this new year, my brain went to alignment and expansion but my body didn’t stir for that. What she wants, what she softens to and gets excited about is nurturing.
Nurturing my relationship with my sweet little inner Emily, nurturing the amazing community of practitioners that are calling The Sanctuary home, nurturing my beloved and my partnership, nurturing my relationships with family and friends, nurturing my life in NC and the community I am growing here, nurturing the fertile stable ground I find myself on at the other side of a watery, wavy year.
My brain tried to convince me that nurturing was passive and not ambitious enough, and then my body spoke up again and with her warm wisdom reminded me that nurturing is an act and a way of being. The feminine way of creating. To give love and energy to that which I intend to grow.
I feel the goddess in and around me often. She has been my center and my source and I hear her singing to me as I walk into a new year.
“Come home darling, and remember, remember, remember”
